On the winning of Indian Idol by Prashant Tamang

 Jiwan Chettri   expresses

First of all my hearty congratulation to you and all my nepali community. At last we proved in need we can do anything for our community. We made our  Indian idol  ruff and tuff hilly boy who hails from the Himalaya-  Prasant Tamang, hats off to him. He is not only Indian idol who won grant singing  competition. He is our identity, he is role   model for upcoming generation.  He proved  "you just dare to dream, god will fulfill your dream".
I was eager from the day when I saw our  young gorkhali lad in the competition. It was really touching when he sang nepali song "Kewal timro yaada liyera kati din bachi dinu", to listen nepali song in the natinal level competition. Even though I am far away from my home I cannot do what I want to do for you but all my best wishes are with you and I follow up every episode of Indian idol. We  all are fighting for our identity and this is the great success for all of us but lets not forget we have long way to go.
Bijaya daju you have  a great contribution in this grant success. Lets nurture more talents from the hills and lets produce more  Prasant Tamang to whom we can feel proud. Prasant we are really proud of you. Wish you all success and glory in your life.
I am great fan of Himgiri. Good going Himgiri..your picture section (mageysakrati) some good pics of "Iskus ko tarul , ghar tarul. syal roti" made me nostalgic.
With Regards
Jiwan

First of all I would like to give thanks all Nepalese community of the world, and congratulation Prashant and all Nepalese. The victory is the victory of unity of our community and the fans of the songs and music. I congratulate all and the dedicated fans of Prashant who made it succeed.
We Nepalese are brave and wise otherwise look at the History, our history says how we defend and win our enemy.
Wherever we are, we are Nepali, (Bir Gorkhali) must not forget ourselves.Prashant became an example for Nepalese. I do appreciate Prashant a lot and pray to God that such talent must be born elsewhere in the world.
"Thank you all God bless you all"

RJ Nitin- Real name Jonathan Brady used to work as a Security Assistant with KLM-NORTHWEST Airlines from Sep2000-OCt2001 at the Indira Gandhi Airport , how can call Gurkhas as Chowkidaar when he has work in the same capacity some years back. He used to be a standing guard for 2 hours whenevr KLM-Northwest Plane would land guarding the aircraft till it took off again, i know this cause he was my colleague and iam ashamed that I worked along with him. He was a loud mouth then and still continues to be, has not changed a bit, he was ridiculed many times at the office for this behaviour, sadly so far he has not matured. He thinks he is over smart and can po fun at anyone.
I want him to be punished.
Congrats Prashant for making India Proud!!!!

Congratulation for all the community of GORKHALI to winning  the heart of Indian people by PRASHANT TAMANG through the  route  of  INDIAN IDOL CONTEST.

 BHAGAWAN SATHYA SAI VIEWS:

"Your life is a song on the Glory of God.  Sing it with all your soul, sing it aloud, sing it in chorus so that the atmosphere polluted by the noise of greed, hatred, and envy can be purified by the holy vibrations..."

"Let the different faiths exist, let them flourish and let the Glory of God be sung in all the languages, and in a verity of tunes.  That should be the ideal.  Respect the differences between the faiths and recognize them as valid as long as they do not extinguish the flames of unity..."

While I was going through your article on the website dated Friday, 28th September, and I found a lot of distortion in the news that have been flashed regarding the derogatory remarks made by Nitin against our home-boy Prashant.

I was born & brought up in Gangtok but have been working here in India Today’s radio division as head Marketing for Delhi. Therefore, I wanted to clarify few things which are an absolute must.

First of all:

  • Nitin is a radio jockey who works with a radio station here in Delhi called” Red FM”. He worked with Radio Mirchi earlier, therefore why would Mirchi apologize on his behalf.

  • Nitin’s original name is Jonathan Brady and not Nitin Kumar.

Although I have been very disturbed by the remarks made by Nitin and have personally written to his management, however  we should take care of providing the correct information to the masses if we consider ourselves a responsible media house.

Best regards,

Smita Khanna,Meow 104.8 FM, India Today Group.
